Hair Journey

Although I am smiling in almost every image, I found the hair loss process to be extremely difficult to say the least.  (I had heard of the Penguin Cold Cap, but ultimately let things just take their course.)  Mourning the loss of hair is a real part of this journey. No matter how much information you gather, you face these steps in our own unique way.  Yes, it's just hair, but being forced to say good bye to the hair on your head (because you are taking very strong drugs) is no small matter. Losing my hair forced me to see myself differently, which I know now, is o.k., as difficult as it was at the time.

The time frame of really not having hair is about four to five months.  Along the way, you accept who you are and learn to love yourself no matter what. You keep going and before you know it, you have a new chic style, and a new beginning.
